What a year 2020 has been so far. So much upheaval and turmoil that has turned all our lives upside down and as 2021 approaches who knows what it will have in store for us all.
Let’s hope above all we stay safe and treat each other with kindness and understanding.
Although this year has seen our charity income be far less than we would have liked we have been lucky enough to be able to continue funding all the children’s services provided at Mountbatten. We have increased the funding to the KissyPuppy bereavement service as it’s need is still ever present and increasing. We adapted the Christmas Party by equipping Santa with a couple chauffeurs, plenty of hand wash and some PPE and sending him out to deliver what we hope will continue to make magical memories for the children and their families.
Even though Sophie’s Shop has been open on and off, as we adapt to the ever changing situation, the work behind the scenes continues as always. Our pledge and promise to ensure children and families are given choices when they need them most is still paramount.
Sophie’s wish to raise pennies to help other children is what drives us on and will continue to do so.
As this strangest of years comes to a close you all have our heartfelt thanks for the love and support you continue to show us.
And to you Sophs…wherever you may be., we hope you are singing and dancing as always. Know that we continue to hold you in our hearts and in our minds. You were so loved, and are so missed by all who knew you.
As the years roll by our memories of you may dim but the love we have for you burns brighter then ever.
Happy New Year
